Description:

An important and rare French Régence Period, carved, oak Bahut à Pierre (buffet or coffer with stone top) from the Bourgogne Region of France.

Gracefully curved on the front (galbe sur la façade), the piece opens with two large doors revealing a deep, large shelf. The sides also curve and have doors that open to smaller storage. The carved stone top is of the grandest quality, de Prety, and is original to the buffet.
