+Click for full screen image+
Description:

A set of two elegant French Louis XV, carved and painted, beechwood side chairs attributed to Etienne Michard. A stamp is very faint on one of the chairs. The caning is thought to be original.

Claude-Etienne Michard (1723-1794), who became a master joiner on July 20, 1757, was known more for his transitional Louis XV/ Louis XVI Period models.

The chairs are sold as a pair.
