Description:

An exceptional and rare French, late 18th century, fruitwood armoire from Lorraine with marquetry flower vases and ivory inlay between two areas with cube marquetry. At the base are two drawers above an apron equally inlaid with torches and quivers surrounded with ribbons. Beautiful brass hinges and pulls accent the piece.

This armoire represents some of the high quality work executed in the Lorraine province during the last quarter of the 18th century.
