Description:

A late 16th century or early 17th century, Flemish tapestry representing a king either in Roman or Greek costume greeting a lady with a horse.

The main body of the tapestry has been reduced from its original size and the border repositioned. The side borders with two native figures holding bunches of fruit, with birds resting on their heads. The lower border is lost. There is a signature on the back right border attributed to the Reynbouts family of weavers.
